Zoom
Connect your Zoom account to Luo to schedule, change, and cancel meetings, see who attended, find cloud recordings, and summarize meetings from their transcripts. Ask the assistant, or ask it to build features in your workspace that use Zoom.
The Luo app for Zoom acts as the Zoom user who connects it, and reaches only that user’s meetings, recordings, and My Notes transcripts.
Before you start
- A Luo account. Sign up or sign in at luo.app.
- A Zoom account. Each user connects their own account. No Zoom admin setup is needed, unless your admin restricts Marketplace apps; see Troubleshooting.
- Recordings and attendee lists need a paid Zoom plan with cloud recording turned on.
- Transcripts come from the meeting’s cloud recording or, if it has none, from your My Notes, so a meeting that wasn’t recorded can still have a transcript. For a cloud recording to have a transcript, turn on Create audio transcript in the host’s recording settings, in the Zoom web portal under Settings → Recording → Cloud recording. Only meetings recorded after you turn it on have a transcript.
Scheduling and managing meetings works on any Zoom plan.
Adding the app
You can start in Luo or in the Zoom App Marketplace. If something goes wrong, see Troubleshooting.
Starting in Luo
- Sign in to Luo and open your workspace.
- Click the workspace’s name at the top of the sidebar, choose Integrations, and click Add Integration.
- Select Zoom.
- Choose how to connect, and click Connect on that option:
- User Integration: your personal connection, for you alone.
- Workspace Integration: shared with the members of the workspace, who can then all use the connection, which works with your Zoom account.
- Sign in to Zoom if asked, then review and approve the access Luo asks for on Zoom’s consent screen.
- Back in Luo, keep or change the suggested name and click Create Integration.
The integration shows as connected, with your Zoom name.
Starting in the Zoom App Marketplace
- On Luo’s listing in the Zoom App Marketplace, click Visit Site to Add. This opens luo.app/integrations/zoom.
- Click Connect Zoom.
- Sign in to Luo, or sign up.
- Click Connect, then review and approve the access Luo asks for on Zoom’s consent screen.
Connecting more accounts
Each connection is for one Zoom account. Your teammates can each connect their own.
If you’re a Zoom admin
If you’d rather use an app you create and control in your own Zoom account, see Zoom (Server-to-Server app). That is a separate integration, and each scope group you add to it covers every user in your Zoom account.
Using the app
Ask the assistant in plain words. For example:
- “Schedule a 30-minute Zoom meeting with the design team tomorrow at 10am.”
- “Cancel next Monday’s check-in, but keep the rest of the series.”
- “Summarize the transcript of yesterday’s customer call, and tell me who attended.”
You can also ask the assistant to build features on top of Zoom, for example a page that lists your upcoming meetings.
What Luo can do
- Scheduling: schedule, change, and cancel meetings, including recurring meetings and single occurrences
- Your meetings: list your upcoming and past meetings, and read a meeting’s details
- Attendees: see who joined a past meeting, and when they joined and left
- Recordings: list your cloud recordings and the files of a recorded meeting
- Transcripts: summarize a meeting or answer questions about it from its transcript, read from the meeting’s cloud recording or, if it has none, from your My Notes. Luo uses My Notes only for transcripts.
Luo asks before it changes anything
Luo asks for your confirmation before it creates, changes, or deletes a meeting, and shows you what it’s about to do. You can choose to always allow an action: for creating meetings this covers new meetings on your account, and for changing or deleting it covers only that one meeting. Reading from Zoom doesn’t ask for confirmation.
What Luo can’t do
- Download recording files. Luo links to a recording’s playback and share pages, which open in Zoom. Use the transcript for what was said.
- See local recordings. Only cloud recordings are available to apps.
- Share host start links. Luo returns a meeting’s join link for participants, never the link that starts the meeting as host.
Good to know
- Recurring meetings share one meeting ID. Asking about “the last” session of a recurring meeting gets the most recent one. To work with an earlier session, ask for it by date.
- Luo finds a note through its meeting. Luo can list only the meetings you host, so for a meeting you only attended, give Luo the meeting ID. For a recurring meeting, Luo reads the newest note that has a transcript.
Removing the app
You can remove the app from either side. Either way, Luo deletes the stored Zoom tokens and the connection.
From Luo
- Open your workspace in Luo, click the workspace’s name at the top of the sidebar, and choose Integrations.
- Select your Zoom integration.
- Click Remove integration and confirm.
Luo revokes its token with Zoom, which also removes the app from your Zoom account.
- User integration: removed from every workspace that uses it.
- Workspace integration: removed for everyone in the workspace.
From Zoom
- Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace.
- Go to Manage → Added Apps.
- Find Luo and click Remove.
Zoom sends Luo a deauthorization notification, and Luo removes every connection made with that Zoom account. Reload the page in Luo to see the integration gone.
What happens to your data
Removing the app doesn’t delete what Luo has already read. Results the assistant returned stay in your chat history, and anything you saved stays in your workspace data, for example meeting notes in a table. You can ask support@luo.app to delete them, from the email address of your Luo account. We handle deletion requests within 30 days.
Meetings Luo created stay in Zoom until you delete them there.
Troubleshooting
- Zoom’s consent screen shows an error, or your Zoom admin restricts Marketplace apps: ask your Zoom admin to allow Luo. If that doesn’t help, contact support.
- Recordings or attendees come back empty or fail: these need a paid Zoom plan with cloud recording turned on. Local recordings aren’t visible to Luo.
- The transcript isn’t ready: a cloud recording’s transcript appears only after the recording finishes processing, usually minutes after the meeting ends and sometimes hours. Try again later.
- A meeting has no transcript: neither its cloud recording nor your My Notes has one. For a recording, the host needs Create audio transcript turned on in their cloud recording settings before the meeting is recorded. Without a recording, use My Notes to transcribe the meeting. If you only attended the meeting, give Luo the meeting ID.
- You connected Zoom before Luo supported My Notes: remove the integration in Luo and connect Zoom again to grant the new permissions.
- Requests start failing after working earlier, or Luo says access is missing: remove the integration in Luo and connect Zoom again.
- Luo can’t create or change meetings because of a daily limit: Zoom allows 100 meeting creates and updates per user per day, and resets the limit at midnight UTC.
- Connecting again after removing the app: connect Zoom again. Removing the app deleted the old connection, so add the new one to any workspace that used it.

What Luo stores
- OAuth tokens, encrypted in Google Cloud Secret Manager
- Your Zoom user ID, name, and email, with the connection
- Results the assistant returns, in your chat history and in any workspace data you save them to
Luo reads Zoom data when you or your workspace ask for it. Large language model providers receive Zoom data only inside the request that needs it, for example a transcript to summarize.
Data flowing through Luo is governed by Luo’s security and privacy practices, the Privacy Policy, and the Terms of Service.
